JOB SUMMARY & OVERVIEW
As an Outside Sales Account Manager your primary focus is on contractors, your main objective is to establish and nurture relationships with construction industry professionals, identify their project requirements, and provide them with the right products or services from our company's offerings. This requires effective listening and understanding of their specific needs and challenges. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
In addition to relationship building, the Outside Sales Representative must have a deep knowledge of our company's products and services. This includes staying up to date with the latest features, benefits, and applications of our offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospecting and Relationship Building:
· Identify and target potential contractor clients through research and networking.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their project needs and preferences.
Product Knowledge:
· Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's products or services, including their features, applications, and benefits.
· Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations that affect the construction sector.
Consultative Sales:
· Listen to contractors' requirements and challenges, offering tailored solutions that meet their project needs.
· Provide product demonstrations and technical information to help customers make informed decisions.
Sales Targets:
· Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and quotas.
· Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and market penetration within the contractor segment.
Market Research:
· Keep abreast of competitors' offerings and pricing strategies.
· Analyze market trends and customer feedback to make recommendations for product improvements and new offerings.
Customer Support:
· Provide post-sale support, addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and warranty issues.
· Act as a liaison between the customer and the company for problem resolution.
Administrative Tasks:
· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales reports.
· Manage sales documentation.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed to meet with customers.
· Proven sales experience, preferably in the lumber or building materials industry.
· Strong product knowledge and the ability to quickly learn about new products.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Physical fitness, as the role may require lifting and moving heavy materials.
· Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions:
· This is a field-based role, involving regular travel to client locations and job sites.
· Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules.
· This is an outdoor position, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
· The role may require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
