What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative (CSR) position at The Hometown Savings Bank?
A Customer Service Representative provide excellent customer service to The Hometown Savings Bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by referring them to appropriate departments in the bank.
Essential Functions:
- Greeting the public and providing excellent customer service.
- Open accounts; including checking, savings, Business Accounts, INUTMA’s, CD’s, HSA’s, IRA’s, Trust/Estate Account and Safe Deposit boxes.
- Perform Wire Transfers.
- Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsement, receive proper identification for cash back, and issue receipts of deposit.
- Process ATM deposits, cash advances, and redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
- Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
- Accept county property tax payments.
- Balance drawer daily, including periodic verification of cashed check totals.
- Process safe deposit payments.
Requirements:
- Completed High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Two to five (2-5) years of banking experience and/or cash handling/sales experience preferred.
- Prior Customer Service experience.
- Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud.
- In-depth knowledge of all bank deposit products and policies.
- High degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Lift up to 50lbs of coin when needed.
