WHO YOU ARE
You are a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist who provides Speech-Language mentorship services to students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a school-based environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Screening - Complete screening requests to determine students' need for evaluation
Evaluation - Conduct standardized assessments of students to determine eligibility due to speech and language deficits, such as articulation, language, and pragmatic needs
Treatment - Write evidence based speech and language therapy plans for students who have speech related needs, incorporating various treatment strategies and accommodations
Documentation - Complete documentation in accordance with deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Communication - Maintain communication with student’s families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needs
Collaboration - Work with multidisciplinary team members to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on client needs and improve service delivery
Other responsibilities as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology or Communication Disorders
One year of progressive experience as an Speech-Language Pathologist
Pennsylvania Instructional 1 Teaching Certificate OR PA Educational Specialist Certification
PA State Speech-Language Pathologist License
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)
Experience working in a school setting (Preferred)
Clearances & Training Required
Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
State License of Practice and/or Certification
