A&L Foods, located in suburban Baltimore Maryland, has a full-time opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position interacts with customers to obtain information and coordinate the flow of sales orders. You will be responsible for timely and accurate processing of invoices and customer payments, resolving issues, calling customers, developing customer relationships, and following up on payment discrepancies. If you have excellent computer skills, are skilled at maintaining data on web-based applications, are a self-starter, customer service oriented, detail oriented and accurate, this may be the role for you! This is an excellent entry level job for someone interested in accounting. : Review posted invoices and process adjustments, as necessary.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform daily invoicing as part of a team.
- Review posted invoices and process adjustments, as necessary.
- Research invoicing and payment discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of Manager and other
- Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collection; identify delinquent accounts by reviewing accounts and call delinquent accountholders for payment.
- Prepare reports regarding current account status, use resources effectively, arrange information and files in an orderly manner and meet
- Reconcile accounts receivable accounts on a monthly
- Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts receivable as
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
What You Need:
- High school diploma and minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical
- Strong math, analytical and Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Microsoft accounting Experience with web-based applications is a plus.
- Superior problem solving and decision-making
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Excellent detail-orientation, accuracy, and organization
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high volume
