Position Summary:
This position requires the individual to be in touch with all levels of management in all departments and provide support in the roll-out of different QA and CI initiatives. Incumbents must be highly organized, self-motivated and a problem solver with critical judgement.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs related to quality and continuous improvement.
- Consistently promote a safe work environment by contributing to safety teams and facilitating safety documentation
- Reduce cost to serve by utilizing lean and other continuous improvement tools.
- Facilitate investigations into customer complaints or spoilage and initiate/finalize corrective action reports, as necessary.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective action solutions.
- Audit and review process compliance in production.
- Facilitate effective cross-department communication to resolve internal, third party/customer and regulatory audit findings.
- Maintain Quality Management System, write new QMS procedures/processes; audit quality process for adherence to QMS.
- Determine most cost-effective rework solutions and document rework activity in appropriate tracking databases.
- Assist in ISO 9001 internal and external audits.
- Facilitate ICAM, iQuote, & Dozuki rollouts
- Collaborate with other facilities to ensure improved quality and efficiency across sites.
- Conduct Waste Watch audits to reduce planned process waste.
- Help develop plan vs actual metrics for production and other areas.
- Assist in creating meaningful metrics, pulling metrics for analysis, and compiling presentations.
- Work with department leaders to collaboratively identify process improvement opportunities through quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Identify process metrics and produce reports on the impact of improvement efforts.
- Initially (and until ERP project has been rolled out and past the troubleshooting stages) 50% of time will remain dedicated to ERP implementation and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 1-3 years CI or QA experience in manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Safety Professional or Continuous Improvement will be helpful.
- 5-7 years CI or QA experience in manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is mandatory.
- Able to read and interpret written specifications and maintain documentation required internally and by the customer.
- The ability to perform and understand product basic testing procedures and test equipment.
- Must be self-motivated and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must work well in a team and the ability to perform with little supervision.
- Must follow and support all quality, management and corporate policies and instructions.
- Microsoft Office suite of products experience is required.

The national pay range for this role is $xx - $xx per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
