Position Summary
The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for building relationships with donors and securing funding for the Foundation’s programs and initiatives through identification of potential donors, cultivating relationships and working closely with leadership and programs staff in developing and implementing fundraising initiatives.
Essential Functions
Daily attendance and punctuality are an important responsibility of all Immokalee Foundation employees and therefore considered an essential function for all positions.
Fundraising and Relationship Building:
o Raise funds for the following fundraising vehicles: annual giving, events, major gifts, and planned giving.
o Identify and cultivate potential donors including high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations through research, donor databases, and networking.
o Develop tailored proposals and present information about various giving vehicles including planned giving opportunities in alignment with a donor’s/potential donor’s financial and philanthropic goals.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing donors.
o Secure financial support for the Foundation’s programs and initiatives.
o Participate in the strategic planning process.
o Collaborate with CAO and team members to develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans.
Donor Management:
o Participate in the Moves Management operation attending weekly team meeting and monthly Moves Management committee meetings.
o Complete the Quarterly 30-60-90 day plans.
o Develop and manage a portfolio of donors including tracking their history and interests.
o Track and analyze donor activity including donor data, prospect pipeline, and reports.
o Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with potential donors through personalized communication, meetings, and events.
o Prepare and present reports on fundraising performance and donor engagement.
Communication and Outreach:
o Represent the Foundation at fundraising events and community outreach activities.
o Collaborative with other departments such as programs and marketing to ensure a cohesive and effective fundraising strategy.
Strategic Planning:
o Address each of the objectives and benchmarks for goals 6,7,8 and 9; and for each Advancement future year goals.
Enhance the fundraising pipeline
Increase fundraising income year-over-year
Strengthening the organization’s long-term sustainability
Preparing donors for a capital campaign
o Collaborate with CAO and team members in the development and implementation of immediate and long-term advancement strategies aligned with the Foundation’s overall goals and strategic plan, including identifying key donor segments, fundraising priorities, and revenue targets.
o Identify and address potential challenges and opportunities in the fundraising landscape both locally and national trends.
o Collaborate with CAO and team members to implement best practices to increase year-over-year fundraising income.

Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree required in the field of business management, marketing, public policy, education, or related field of study. Direct and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree attainment.
· Master’s degree preferred.
Certification(s)/Licenses
· CFRE or CFRM, or attainment eligible and expected within one year of employment.
· Active valid driver’s license in good standing.
Experience
· Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in fundraising development, marketing/communication management preferably in a not-for-profit environment.
· Minimum three(3) years of experience in fundraising development and establishing strategy with high-net-worth donor communities.
· Demonstrated diversification in philanthropic practice areas required.
· Previous direct working and collaborative experience with not-for-profit boards.
· Previously demonstrated management experience fostering and developing an organizational culture that supports intra-organizational teamwork and collaboration which supports employee engagement and strategic and operational goal attainment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
