Position Overview:
As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing top-tier service to our guests in a sophisticated, high-end environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring that each guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Provide confident, performative, qualitative service to all guests.
- Provide detailed information about the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Anticipate and address guests' needs, ensuring a personalized and memorable dining experience.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Service Execution:
- Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring all orders are correct and presented in a polished manner.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Prepare and process guest checks accurately, handling payments and managing cash or credit transactions.
- Upkeep & Maintenance:
- Ensure all dining, storage, and work areas are clean, organized, and set up according to the restaurant's standards.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of tables, dining areas, storage areas, and work spaces throughout service.
- Assist with resetting tables and preparing the dining area for new guests.
- Ensure all areas are left clean, organized, and that all comestibles are properly stored to prevent pests and rodents.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, service standards, and company policies.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to service, guest interactions, and workplace safety.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a server in an upscale or fine dining restaurant is preferred. A strong understanding of high-quality service and guest relations is essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to service.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with fine dining etiquette, food and beverage pairings, and upscale menu offerings. Knowledge of wine and cocktail service is a plus.
- Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor, with adherence to the restaurant's dress code and grooming standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, ability to traverse stairs comfortably throughout the shift, and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
