The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sr. Controller & Director of Accounting in all analytics related to cash, debt/interest, processes associated with account reconciliations and daily spend tracking. The ideal candidate will excel in wearing multiple hats and adjust to changing priorities to support the business needs. Able to prioritize, plan and organize a variety of tasks with little direction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop processes and procedures for evaluating customer financials and setting or changing credit limits in conjunction with Director of AR/AP.
- Pull and evaluate business/customer credit reports and provide recommendations to AR/AP Director.
- Aggregate and analyze cash related data; develop/publish KPIs and metrics.
- Assist with technology, automation and financial system enhancements for all areas within accounting to include AI tools.
- Lead weekly/monthly cash reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Manage Concur/Credit Card process/analytics s and facilitate conversion to AP where appropriate with the support of AP Supervisor/ Director of Procurement.
- Manage auto debits via bank based on cash forecasts ensuring timely payments.
- Coordinate Lease & Tax payments with the Director of Accounting and manage monthly schedules; perform lease analysis on new leases.
- Reconcile all cash related balance sheet accounts including AR & AP (with AR/AP Supervisors)
- Develop an Interest payment schedule and be the liaison between AIMS & Lenders. Perform all account reconciliations related to Debt/Interest.
- Support/Assist GL team with month end close as well as audit/tax filings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a SR Accountant level role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study. Advanced degree a plus.
- Strong knowledge and experience addressing a broad range of accounting matters, ensuring it is processed in compliance with established internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills to correctly grasp and communicate data and analyze and reconcile accounts.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is a Plus.
- Construction Industry experience is a plus.
- Advanced computer skills with an emphasis in Excel to include Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Attention to detail, and excellent organization/communication skills.
- Results oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexible and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
