Network Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join a dedicated IT team. This role is crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring 24 / 7 network availability, troubleshooting network issues, and optimizing performance. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge networking technologies, including Cisco VPN, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN accelerators, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and highly available network architectures.
Implement, maintain, and support the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
Manage the day-to-day availability and uptime of all core and fault-tolerant systems.
Monitor network performance using tools such as Prime, SolarWinds, Syslog, and Scrutinizer.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including faulty cabling and hardware failures.
Configure and manage WAN accelerators, WLAN (WLC and AP), and Cisco VPN services.
Deploy and maintain network security solutions, including Cisco ISE, NAC, and firewalls.
Configure, update, and troubleshoot various networking devices, including Meraki, Cisco Catalyst Switches, and credit card swipe systems.
Support and manage all WAN, LAN, and WLAN components within the organization.
Requirements :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in WAN / LAN network operations.
Strong understanding of MPLS and BGP.
Proficiency in VLAN, VLAN Trunk, Spanning Tree, Port Channeling, HSRP (or VRRP), and DHCP.
Hands-on experience with multi-routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP) and network switching.
Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet and software VPN tunnels (Azure or AWS).
Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex data networks.
Proficiency in network documentation using Microsoft Visio and Excel.
Flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, and DMZ configurations.
Ability to work effectively within a small, agile team environment.
Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly preferred.
