A client of ours is seeking a Process Improvement QA Engineer to add to their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality management system and ISO certification, overseeing Nonconforming Material Reports, and conducting periodic audits to ensure the effectiveness of the quality system. The engineer will collaborate with laboratory personnel on failure investigations and provide statistical analysis to enhance product quality and drive process improvements. Additionally, this position will lead supplier audits and ensure effective quality control measures are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee the ISO 9001 QMS, including SOPs and the Approved Suppliers List.
- Manage corrective actions, non-conformance reports, and conduct internal and external audits.
- Lead process improvement projects based on performance metrics, collaborating with various departments.
- Conduct supplier audits, focusing on heat treatment and casting quality.
- Ensure compliance with the company's codes of conduct and quality policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
- 1-2 years years of experience with ISO 9001 QMS.
- Audit qualification or certification is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience in steel foundry or fabrication is a plus.
