Senior Corporate Accounting Manager
We are currently seeking a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee a team and manage accounting functions across both domestic and international entities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring GAAP compliance, supporting payroll and benefits accounting, and leading process improvement initiatives for financial reporting and accounting systems. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, drive process transformation projects, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts. This role is crucial for maintaining strong financial controls and supporting both external and internal audit functions.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage a team of 2 direct reports, ensuring timely and accurate close and reporting for both domestic and international entities, while ensuring GAAP compliance.
Oversee payroll and benefits accounting, including bonus accruals and allocation of fringe benefits to sites.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting and reporting processes and systems, using tools such as Blackline, Oracle, Onestream, and Medius.
Perform high-quality reviews of journal entries, fluctuation explanations, financial reporting, SOX controls, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and supported by detailed records, addressing reconciling items in a timely manner.
Partner with the Corporate Reporting team on cashflow support and income statement and balance sheet analytics.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide support for internal and external auditor reviews and audits.
Ensure proper maintenance of historical financial records in compliance with the client's Corporate Records Retention Policy.
Key Requirements :
10 years of experience in corporate accounting, with preference for global experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience in a public company environment or with a large national / regional public accounting firm.
Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS).
Familiarity with a variety of ERP systems (Oracle, Blackline, Onestream, Medius).
Experience managing a mid-sized to large accounting team.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills :
Global accounting management experience
Exposure to areas outside of general ledger accounting, such as SEC reporting or consolidations
Industry experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics
