Social Media Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Island in Pigeon Forge is seeking a full-time, Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer.

This individual must have extensive knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and would be able to gather content and distribute using a consistent strategy through Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, blogging, and other social media platforms. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of graphic design and be fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple brands and be a motivated team player able to take direction and complete tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the Island social media accounts and handle graphic design projects.

· Design assets for social media platforms, email templates, website, signage, and various projects

· Create content calendars for various social media outlets, including Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram

· Schedule posts using software such as Later.

· Monitor audience response to all posts and respond as needed to increase
engagement.

· Write blogs with SEO best practices

· Assist in executing Island special events, including creating social media promotion strategies for on-site coverage and other event tasks as assigned

· Research and report on digital media and social media trends in the industry

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

· Interest in marketing, graphic design, and social media

· Proficient in use of Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator and Macintosh platform

· In-depth knowledge and hands-on proficiency with current social media
platforms, including being an active and engaged participant in social media
(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

· Strong writing skills and familiarity with SEO

· Excellent interpersonal & follow-up skills

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Ability to use cameras and smart phones

· Must have reliable transportation

· Be a self-starter and show initiative

· Familiarity with photo or video editing apps such as Canva, Lightroom, and more

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or related field.

· 1-3 years of multi-channel digital marketing experience with hands on experience in local, mobile and digital marketing

· Proficiency with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, and other social media monitoring platforms

· 1-3 years of graphic design experience

· Ability to use video editing software such as iMovie, Movie Maker, Adobe Premier Pro or similar is a plus but not required

Salary: From $50,000 to $60,000
