What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservation Agent position at The Islander?
Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, self-motivated, team player who is tech savvy, detail oriented and has a passion for customer service. This position requires strength in multi-tasking, attention to detail and a strong desire to work with people and data.
We need to fill evening shifts and Sunday morning shifts.
Duties:
- Ensuring high level of customer service to achieve high review scores.
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with making reservations
- Provide accurate information about availability, rates, and amenities
- Process reservations and input customer data into the system
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes
- Booking guests for future reservations including snowbirds.
- Taking payments.
- Sending building notifications.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Ensure accurate room availability information
Qualifications:
- Escapia software experience is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in data entry.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
