About the Job
We are seeking a Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to join our team at The Jackson Laboratory. As an EHS Specialist II, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organization remains compliant with all relevant EHS regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Investigate and respond to EHS incidents and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Stay up-to-date with changing EHS regulations, laws, and standards, and advise the organization on compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in EHS compliance and management systems.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, laws, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
