Position Title: IT Business Analyst – Life Insurance Transformation
Job Type: Hybrid, Newport Beach, California, 6-Month Contract
Job Overview:
Our client, a leading company in the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support key initiatives in the life insurance product administration systems. This role will play a critical part in optimizing operations, defining business requirements, managing business rules, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient technology-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in the life insurance sector and a strong understanding of business rules management with InRule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Process Analysis: Analyze and optimize existing business processes related to life insurance product administration, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with key stakeholders across technology and business domains to gather, document, and translate business requirements into IT solutions that support product and operational goals.
- Solution Design: Partner with IT and development teams to design and implement technology solutions that align with business objectives, focusing on life insurance product administration systems.
- Business Rules Management: Define, document, and manage business rules using InRule to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Process Engineering: Design and implement process improvements to optimize business operations, focusing on areas such as policy administration, claims management, and other core life insurance functions.
- Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and execute testing to ensure new solutions meet business requirements and align with operational needs.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for business processes, business rules, and IT solutions.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new systems, processes, and IT solutions to ensure smooth adoption and ongoing success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, operations, product, and business teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions that align with the product roadmap and business priorities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, IT solution design, or process engineering
- Technical Skills:
- InRule experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of business rules management systems.
- Proficiency in business process modeling and analysis tools.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is required.
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $50-$60 per hour.
