What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Customer Service Representative position at The Jacobson Group?
Our Client, who provides multiple lines of insurance services and may serve families and businesses in a variety of areas, including the Atlanta area, Iowa, and Illinois.
They are looking for a Customer Service rep to join their team who can work onsite in Duluth Georgia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries via phone, email, and other channels.
- Process Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Manage routine billing and payment inquiries
- Assist clients with initial claims filing and escalate complex issues to the Account Manager when necessary.
- Handle routine policy servicing tasks, including processing mid-term changes and endorsements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Account Managers, Producers, Account Executives) to resolve service-related concerns efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within our agency management systems (AMS/CRM).
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance the overall client experience.
- Monitor service metrics and provide feedback on customer service trends.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all client interactions.
Skill Set /Experience Requirements–
- 2 years of experience as an insurance CSR – personal and commercial lines
- Familiarity with personal and/or commercial insurance policies, endorsements, and claims processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AMS/CRM systems (e.g., Applied Epic, HawkSoft, Veruna, Exlynx, or similar platforms).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex information.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a client-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Languages: English & Korean (preferred)
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $23/hour
