Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting with the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventative and predictive maintenance. The Maintenance Planner works directly with the Maintenance Management Team to build a reliable purchasing system and maintenance team. They will work independently and requires hands on maintenance experience and will be utilized when needed. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

- Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of mechanical and electrical systems
- Equipment and repair parts data entry and management
- Maintains equipment information and repair files.
- Assist other maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and research.
- Planning and coordinating maintenance jobs and projects.
- Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
- Participates in plant safety, health, and environment programs.
- Maintains department budget goals.
- Purchasing of parts, building materials, and capital projects
- Responsible for setting up contractors and follow up on completed tasks.
- Directly Manage building maintenance personnel
- Training of plant personnel on the various functions of the CMMS program, managing the program, and following up on work orders. This position will become the resident expert on CMMS.
- Analyze data from (CMMS) system to determine root cause of unscheduled downtime and make recommendations to minimize or reduce downtime.
- Develop maintenance task SOPs as needed.
- Review past maintenance records and develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM), work orders, and emergency repairs are completed as scheduled.

Qualifications:
- A two-year technical degree is a plus. Must have proven mechanical/electrical experience for a minimum of three (3) years.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications etc.:
- Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software with the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
- Knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SDF) standards is a plus.
