As the Boutique Manager at The James, you will make sure that the very best of The James team is on display. Your ability to see the boutique through the customer's eyes will help you lead initiatives and related efforts to increase client loyalty, while delivering on The James standard for customer service. The James environment is ideal, because you enjoy connecting with people and passing your knowledge and enthusiasm on to your team through training and coaching, as you and they advance through your leadership.
What you will do:
Exceed sales goals by leading The James initiatives through coaching and recognition, while optimizing productivity and efficiency (grow sales and clients).
People
- Build a productive and enthusiastic team that is ready and eager to engage with customers (hiring and culture/recognition). Actively recruit and fill open positions to maximize boutique sales potential.
- Ensure connections and relationships with staff are a daily priority. Address and resolve performance and productivity concerns with urgency and fairness (development and retention).
- Support staff skill training through sharing product knowledge, communication of upcoming new receipts, and merchandise presentation standards (Training).
Process
- Create customer relationships and raise the level of boutique service by being present on the selling floor 90% of your scheduled shift.
- Conduct strategic weekly review of total sales, product selling and margin performance.
- Develop and communicate weekly sales goals and daily progress updates to team.
- Support operational tasks such as, but not limited to, getting merchandise to the selling floor, style outs, and boutique cleanliness.
Promotion
- Create quarterly events to drive new client acquisition and customer retention.
- React to business trends and partner with OM/Owner on point of sale activities and actions.
- Provide and assist with social media ideas and content to market products and the brand.
Presentation
- Maintain and elevate boutique standards to create the optimal experience for clients and customers.
- Ensure mannequins are updated weekly to show new product and current trends.
- Fill- in selling floor daily from backstock, as size opportunities arise.
