Summary/Objective
This position will require a self-driven person with strong organizational skills to manage and administer business development data, filter through detailed information in proposals, and support staff to ensure efficient workflows across various departments.
Essential Functions
- Grow in business and technical knowledge of Jaynes operations
- Data entry for key projects and clients
- Maintaining database for business development and sales/pursuits.
- Technical writing and editing
- Work with existing templates in InDesign to help develop proposal sections
- Data mining for key items associated with proposals
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- One (1) – two (2) years of demonstrated experience, including written communication as it relates to RFQ/RFP responses, grant writing, or similar technical writing
- Proficient with Adobe InDesign
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate under tight deadlines and manage urgent requests
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Data mining and file searching skills
- Ability to assemble proposals to specification

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and binding equipment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some printing and binding are required. This would require the ability to move and package 3-ring binders in boxes as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-union position. The scheduled hours are 40 to 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, but may be extended as required to execute the tasks assigned to meet deadlines.
Travel
This position may require occasional regional travel.
Required Education and Experience
One (1) to two (2) years of demonstrated writing experience required, written communication as it relates to RFQ/RFP responses, grant writing, or similar technical writing and proficiency with Adobe InDesign.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Must pass a pre-employment screen, including but not limited to: drug and alcohol screen, background check, motor vehicle records check, and reference check.
2. Current and valid driver’s license in the state of permanent residence (must be insurable by Jayne’s automobile insurance carrier to drive a Jaynes’ vehicle).
3. Must be eligible per Fleet Safety Management policy to operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for company purposes.
