How you can make a bigger difference :

The Mishkon Division provides supports and services in a healthy and safe environment for individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities living in residential programs and in community settings. Our core values are to provide a healthy and safe environment that promotes person-centered planning, community integration, and close collaboration with families and the community. This is all accomplished through an Orthodox Jewish lens, and with an understanding that staff, at all levels of the division, is the determining factor in achieving positive outcomes for our clients.

The Director of Residential Services supervises all aspects of residential and administrative services for the division’s Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF).

Education :

  • Master’s degree in a related Human Services discipline is required plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with the intellectually disabled population in a management role.
  • Experience Required :

  • Familiarity with Orthodox Jewish practices required
  • Knowledge of Department of Health and / or OPWDD regulatory requirements required.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Provides regular supervision of the Residential Coordinators and Managers.
  • Works with the Performance Improvement and Quality Outcomes departments on implementing improvements on all aspects of care and documentation.
  • Responsible to attend OPWDD / IAC trainings related to regulatory matters.
  • Works in tandem with the Director of Medical Services to ensure medical orders are implemented.
  • Ensures appropriate follow up of direct reports for all recommended changes.
  • Implements systems to ensure regulatory compliance at each facility.
  • Responsible for the review of fire plans and fire drill compliance.
  • Oversight of residential documentation with the Electronic Health Record.
