Assistant Estimator/Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Support the project engineering team with project scheduling, tracking, and cost analysis.
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify scope of work and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Help to prepare bid packages and review subcontractor proposals.
• Assist in coordinating with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress and assist in reporting on budget, schedule, and performance metrics.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Assist in managing project risks and helping to implement corrective actions when needed.
• Participate in on-site project meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management (currently pursuing degree or equivalent work experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in estimating, project engineering, or construction management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
