Project Administrator
The Department of Neurology is seeking a Project Administrator to support the Brain Injury Outcomes Services (BIOS) Clinical Trials Coordinating Center (CTCC), which manages multi-center, 20 million dollar federally funded clinical trials and multiple site-specific pharmaceutical sponsored trials. Reporting to division directors, the Project Administrator will direct the BIOS CTCC safety oversight standard operating procedures for all sponsored projects. This position will responsible for strategy deployment, project management, change management and other improvement techniques to deliver rapid and measurable results. The Project Administrator will advise and collaborate with division executive leadership on a wide range of operational and strategic initiatives related to the division comprehensive safety program.
A high-level of professionalism must be maintained, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and timelines and build positive working relationships with internal and external collaborators. This individual performs duties that require comprehensive knowledge of the organizational policies and operations and will regularly require the ability to resolve complex problems independently. This individual ensures that the priorities of the division are supported, and day to-day operations of the division run smoothly. This individual will facilitate the implementation of divisional priorities, with the ability to be available outside of standard business hours to assist with various tasks. We are looking for a resourceful individual, with good problem-solving skills, organizational skills and with the ability to prioritize tasks. Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Process Development/Improvement
- Supports ongoing review and analysis of current safety program processes and procedures to identify gaps and inefficiencies;
- Implements innovations and process improvements;
- Draft, finalize and update formal SOPs for new functions;
- Work with division faculty and staff to perform workflow analyses to support workflows;
- On an ongoing basis, implement innovations and process improvements overseeing beta testing and adoption processes as well as conducting trainings for internal and external users
- Work with division faculty and staff to implement formal benchmarking and metrics for program service and accountability;
- Oversee implementation and publication of service expectations to internal and external collaborators;
- Manage data collection and analysis process for the program performance/accountability;
- Work with division faculty and staff to implement established expectations through formal training and monitoring programs;
- Prepare regular reporting with division leadership on progress, proposal and award status, and program performance
- Work with division leadership to establish a formal communications plan for the program for optimal and measurable message delivery;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize program service delivery
- Coordinate and manage program communication channels for formal feedback from internal and external collaborators for benchmarking and performance evaluation
- Conduct formal training programs for internal and external program collaborators;
- Serve as institutional representative for coordination of all sponsored project-related training;
- Engage department leadership to synthesize and improve communication and training on all program matters
- Manages special projects and assignments.
- Carries out background research on emerging issues, tracks progress and deadlines to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and identifies areas which require escalation to division leadership;
- Ability to understand and apply the divisional and organization mission and strategic goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline required.
- Five years of related experience.
- Master’s Degree in related discipline strongly preferred.
- Experience in University/Medical environment strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with JHM Policies and Procedures a plus.

Starting Salary Range: $75,100 - $131,700 Annually ($103,400 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. Education and Experience Equivalency
Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
