Job Summary: The Commercial Insurance Producer is a key member of our independent insurance agency, responsible for generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients. This role involves prospecting for potential clients, assessing their insurance needs, and presenting tailored insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial insurance products, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain a client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and Lead Generation:
• Identify and target potential commercial clients through various channels, including networking, referrals, and cold calling.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and potential business opportunities.
  
  

Client Assessment

• Meet with potential clients to assess their commercial insurance needs.
• Analyze clients' existing insurance coverage and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
• Customize insurance solutions to meet the specific needs of each client.
  
  

Presentation And Proposal

• Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals to clients.
• Clearly communicate the features and benefits of proposed insurance products.
• Address client questions and concerns, providing expert advice and guidance.
  
  

Negotiation And Closing

• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure new business.
• Work closely with underwriters to obtain competitive quotes and coverage options.
• Close deals and finalize contracts, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  
  

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients.
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients, addressing any policy-related issues.
• Conduct periodic reviews of clients' insurance portfolios to ensure continued alignment with their evolving needs.
  
  

Market Awareness

• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in commercial insurance.
• Collaborate with team members to share insights and contribute to the agency's overall success.
  
  

Documentation And Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and insurance policies.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance and projections.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Producer or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of various commercial insurance products, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and more.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Active insurance producer license
