Professional Liability Underwriting Manager

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional liability underwriting.
  • In-depth knowledge of professional liability insurance products, risk assessment, and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with brokers and agents.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business within the professional liability segment, adhering to company guidelines and risk appetite.
  • Manage a portfolio of professional liability accounts, ensuring a balance between growth objectives and risk management.
  • Ensure all underwriting activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, competitor products, and emerging risks in the professional liability sector.
  • Work closely with other departments, including claims, risk control, and product development, to ensure cohesive service delivery.
  • Lead and oversee a small group of Underwriters
