Reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will manage the maintenance department, ensuring building and equipment are in optimal working order. You will minimize mechanical downtime and maximize production line efficiency through the development and implementation of high-performance maintenance systems.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize resource scheduling to maximize work completion and minimize plant downtime, while ensuring maximum plant capacity and cost efficiency.
Champion plant safety initiatives, enforcing company and plant policies and facilitating employee training.
Provide day-to-day support to operating teams for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
Ensure smooth daily plant operations with minimal recurring issues.
Assist in project scheduling and management to minimize disruption to plant operations.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and without safety, food safety, or environmental issues.

- Key Performance Indicators:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership experience, including team development and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems.
- Advanced technical skills in mechanical and/or electrical fields (e.g., PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical systems).
- Ability to lead resource planning and management in a large manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventative/predictive maintenance, and TPM.
- Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment and interpret results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, technical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance department.
- Manage employee responsibilities, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Combination of office and plant environment.
- Plant environment may include wet, humid, cold, or hot conditions, exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels in production areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements, including close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and talking/hearing.
