What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at The Judge Group?
Our client is seeking an Electrical/Automation Engineer for their facility in the greater Atlanta metro area. This is a great opportunity to join world class organization in a thriving metropolitan area!
Key Expectations:
- Deliver detailed electrical design and automation programming for assigned projects.
- Provide estimates and technical schedules for all phases of process equipment additions, replacements, or upgrades.
- Offer backup support and training to plant maintenance teams on newly implemented automation systems.
- Collaborate with internal company support groups to achieve objectives and provide contract engineering management and direction as needed.
- Participate in major capital projects and/or modifications from inception to completion, including equipment reception, commissioning, and acceptance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience in the field.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
- Minimal travel required (5-10% maximum) for vendor machine acceptance and local facility support.
- Experience with electrical design standards and proficiency in using standard CAD design tools for control systems designs.
- Proficiency in PLC programming standards and software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Specific experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens is a plus.
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Rockwell, Siemens, and Control Techniques is a plus.
- Experience with HMI configuration, programming, and communication. Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.
- Familiarity with control systems network interfaces and various communication protocols between devices, including computer system databases.
- Experience in Project Team Leadership or Project Management is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement and defect detection applications is preferred but not required. Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, and Gocator is a plus.
- Robotic experience, configuration, or knowledge is a plus but not required. Specific experience with Fanuc and ABB is a plus. Experience with Vision Systems is a plus.
Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
