The Judge Group has partnered with our manufacturing client in Gallatin, TN, to identify an EHS Specialist to join their team. You are the ideal candidate if you have 2 years' experience in safety and a Bachelor's degree (required). We are open to considering the someone who is early in their career/new grad.
Job Summary: The EHS Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, and promoting a culture of safety within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Provide EHS training and education to employees at all levels.
- Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes.
- Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update EHS documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS) and compliance records.
- Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in EHS audits and inspections.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in EHS roles within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- FDA experience highly desired
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
