Description: Our client is currently seeking a Onsite Health & Wellness Coordinator for their client (a casino) in Las Vegas.

Location: Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (100% onsite)

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Flexibility required for occasional nights and weekends based on employee needs and event schedules.

About The Role

As an Onsite Health & Wellness Coordinator, you will provide prevention and lifestyle intervention services focusing on nutrition, physical activity, weight management, stress management, and chronic disease risk reduction. Using behavior modification and coaching techniques in one-on-one sessions, you will help employees at risk achieve personal health goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Address basic fitness questions in both class and consult formats and provide worksite gym orientations.
• Offer consults and classes on weight management and assist employees in developing personal goals centered around lifestyle management.
• Collaborate with the HR department to create onsite wellness challenges and assist with healthy menu initiatives in the employee dining room.
• Coordinate and refer to classes, consults, and events with the health plan population health team, including registered dietitians, registered nurses, and licensed alcohol and drug counselors.
• Identify population needs based on biometric screening results and shared claims data.
• Host onsite health promotion events.
• Attend weekly/monthly meetings with casino and health plan teams, presenting relevant wellness program updates.
• Provide a promotional health calendar of wellness events for the duration of the contract.
• Work with the safety department to establish injury prevention programs for high-risk areas.
• Champion a team of worksite wellness ambassadors to advocate for a healthy work culture.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education/certification/licensure in nutrition, health education, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Previous worksite experience, preferably in the casino/hospitality industry.
• Experience with wellness program design is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet the needs of team members, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  
  

Professional License/Certification: A degree in kinesiology, public health, or a related field is preferred. If the applicant does not have a degree, a fitness, nutrition, or health coach certification is required, subject to overall experience and skillset.
