Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Brand Activation leads the Integrated Marketing plan development and executes the Plan for one of the top brands, including defining activation strategies, briefing and directing creative resources and project-managing creative deliverables to align to annual brand media plans and evergreen social media. The Senior Manager, Brand Activation will define objectives and success metrics; manage agencies & resources; establish timelines and budgets; present in-progress and finished work to key stake holders and ensure excellence in execution. The Brand Activation Senior Manager will excel at working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and cross-functional relationships. Essential Duties, Responsibilities, And Key Results Area
- Together with Director, Brand Activation, works with cross functional stakeholders including Brand Management, Media, PR, Retail Marketing, Customer Marketing, DTC, TRS, PR, Alt Channel, and Brand Experience, and creates the annual Integrated Marketing Plan; manages communications with stakeholders, touchpoint cadence, and reporting cadence.
- Organizes resources and leads end to end execution of national advertising to align with media flights and promotional cadence; writes accurate briefs and presents to agency partners; collaborates with media to understand assets needed; develops advertising assets (TV/Streaming/Online Video, Radio, Social Media, Display, Creator, Influencer, Sponsored Content, Landing Pages, etc.) with creative agencies and provides agency feedback and approvals; ushers creative through legal review; presents to stakeholders as appropriate; ensures assets are executed flawlessly and delivered on time, within budget.
- Constantly seeks optimal performance of advertising creative; synthesizes performance metrics into actionable optimizations of creative; identifies opportunities and fills creative and messaging gaps.
- Together with Media and agency partners, develops and implements advertising test & learn plan; communicates plan to relevant stakeholders; synthesizes results and performance; adapts report-outs for internal use; adjusts advertising tactics based on test results.
- Together with the Director, Brand Activation, develops new strategic campaigns, often linking to major new product launches; writes creative briefs; identifies agency partners; defines consumer research needs and manages research process with insights team; leads pre-production/production/post-production process; delivers campaign assets on time, on budget and with flawless execution; ensures cross functional partners have visibility to messaging to ensure alignment.
- Manages brand presence on social media channels such as Meta, Pinterest and YouTube; appropriately directs resources to create and update evergreen content; collaborates with media providers to understand & test new capabilities; partners with DTC on community management; facilitates organic social calendar; ensures paid ads are always optimized.
- Maintains intelligence on key competitors with knowledge of their positioning, messaging, tactics and advertising effectiveness; collaborates with Director, Brand Activation, Media and Customer Marketing team to share information on new competitive activity; recommends response.
- Represents Brand Activation for the brand in cross functional meetings including Product Communications, Annual Brand Planning, Quarterly Reporting, Promotional Reporting, etc; prepares clear and accurate powerpoint slides; presents to stakeholders; actions feedback.
- Effectively manages stakeholders to ensure cohesive activation and messaging approach; shares work in progress; adjusts approach as needed based on feedback and changing business needs.
- Tracks and manages budget s to ensure accuracy of all costs. Processes project invoices and tracks expenses versus budget.
- Supports monthly, quarterly and annual budget planning efforts.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience managing integrated marketing planning and execution, advertising and creative development for a consumer brand
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and deadline driven
- Skilled at managing the creative process and inspiring excellence from agency partners
- Ability to travel approximately once a month to agency meetings, photoshoots, etc.
