The role of Director, Global Social Media is to lead the development and execution of a best-in-class global social media strategy. This role requires expertise in data-driven decision-making, integration with digital and paid media efforts, and a deep understanding of how to leverage social media to support both direct selling and DTC (direct to consumer) growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong balance of creativity, content planning, and leadership skills to create innovative social strategies that align with broader business objectives.
Your Day to Day
Social Strategy, Content, and Training
- Design and execute a global social media strategy that integrates seamlessly with the commercialization calendar and aligns with key business priorities.
- Overhaul and reengage the Facebook page and community to provide leadership, education, and ongoing training for Partners, driving engagement and retention.
- Develop and implement scalable social media playbooks that empower Partners and countries to build their social presence, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Lead the creation of engaging, shoppable content across platforms like Instagram and Facebook, leveraging data insights to optimize performance.
- Act as a storyteller and strategist, ensuring content aligns with brand pillars and moves audiences from top-of-funnel awareness to bottom-of-funnel conversions.
- Simplify complex social media concepts and tools to train Partners effectively, enabling them to create high-quality content and sell confidently on social platforms.
- Proactively identify and mitigate reputational risks by monitoring cultural trends and pivoting messaging as needed.
Data-Driven Insights and Analytics
- Use tools like Sprinklr and Google Analytics to measure campaign performance, track KPIs, and identify actionable insights to inform strategy.
- Build and manage dashboards for real-time social listening, performance reporting, and competitive benchmarking.
- Write and implement solutions to monitor brand sentiment, identify potential crises, and structure alerts for immediate response.
- Leverage social media data to align strategies with broader marketing goals, including CRM and paid media initiatives.
- Provide regular performance reports with clear recommendations to optimize content and audience engagement.
Integration with Digital Ecosystem
- Align shoppable posts and social commerce efforts with Shopify and other platforms, driving measurable revenue growth.
- Partner with creative and digital teams to ensure seamless integration of social campaigns with paid media and eCommerce strategies.
Leadership and Team Development
- Manage and mentor a small team of social media professionals and vendors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Set clear goals and professional development plans for direct reports, provide regular feedback, and conduct annual evaluations.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders, including Marketing, Creative, and Sales teams, to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
- Deliver compelling presentations to leadership, communicating the impact and value of social media strategies on business objectives.
Innovation and Emerging Trends
- Stay ahead of social media trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring the brand remains a leader in the social space.
- Identify and test emerging platforms and features, integrating them into the overall strategy where relevant.
- Develop and manage influencer and partnership programs, including onboarding, content development, and ROI measurement.

You will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in a senior social media or digital marketing role, ideally within eCommerce or direct selling environments.
- Expertise in social media strategy development, content creation, and community management.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Sprinklr (or similar tools), Google Analytics, and social commerce platforms.
- Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills with attention to detail and brand voice.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in managing shoppable posts and driving revenue through social commerce strategies.
