IT Support Technician Details
- Employee Type: Full-time, Non-exempt (hourly)
- No Remote

- Schedule: Hours generally 7-4 or 8-5 with 1-hour lunch. If individual is considered an IT resource, one Saturday morning every 4 weeks.
- Minimum Starting Pay Rate: $26.44 per hour to start; pay will be commensurate with experience.
- Annual Merit Increases: JVB employees receive an annual performance evaluation with subsequent merit increase.
- Advancements: Being part of a small team, advancement is based on an individual’s aptitudes. Advancement opportunities include additional responsibilities in System Administration and Security Analyst roles.
General Summary
Primarily responsibility for maintaining the information security of all computer and network equipment. Position is also responsible supporting hardware and software troubleshooting for all employees, including support of desktops, server, virtual desktops, network equipment, reporting, desktop applications and core banking application.
Essential Duties
- Regular attendance is required and will vary by position. Specific hours should be discussed with supervisors and/or division managers. Based on need, the Bank does reserve the right to adapt at any point in time.
- Generate and review reports on systems access and security threats. Including review and remediation of penetration testing results such as Nessus.
- Stay current on threats that affect bank equipment and assist the Systems Administrator in developing a plan to mitigate or patch any risks.
- Maintain hardware and software updates.
- Provisioning user access additions, changes, and deletions.
- Maintain asset inventories of all IT managed equipment.
- Provide timely support of end-users with hardware, software, or access issues.
- Assist in maintaining Information Security, Incident Response, and Disaster Recovery Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in vendor due diligence, particularly in evaluating cybersecurity assessments and SOC2/SSAE16 documentation.
- Review, recommend, implement, and oversee all policies and procedures relating to the internal and external integrity of the Bank's security systems.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Information Security, Confidentiality, Privacy, etc.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other divisions, and departments in order to insure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
- Complies with established operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the Bank's adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
- Communicates with management and staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.
- Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Requirements:Basic Qualifications
Education/Training:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field, preferred
Skill(s):
- Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient interpersonal and communicative skills with a service orientation for both internal and external customers
- Proficient mathematics skills
- Valid driver's license
