60 year old site and utility contractor in Tampa is now hiring a shop mechanic for our maintenance and repair team. Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs or more
- Must be able to walk, stand and climb frequently throughout the day
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with preventive maintenance and timely repair of equipment that breaks down
- Complete all service reports and submit on timely basis
- Perform cleanup at end of day or when job is completed, including cleaning tools and putting tools in proper storage
- Proactively communicate with Equipment Manager concerning equipment and job-related projects
- Inspect and ensure safety devices are functional – such as back up alarms, fire extinguishers, seat belts, horns, etc.
- Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment
- Work more than 40 hours per week and overtime including some weekends
- Looking for a self-driven individual
- Possesses their own tools
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mechanic.
- Experience working with Komatsu, John Deere, and Cat equipment
- Experience with a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
- Be able to trouble shoot and repair electrical problems
- Be familiar with and able to work on emissions, such as DPF and DEF system.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
