SUMMARY : We are seeking an experienced Construction Worker-Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will work with a field crew to Perform physical tasks such as digging trenches, excavating, lilting etc. and operating basic hand tools. Load and unload construction materials and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and secured. Help with the installation and assembly of construction components, such as scaffolding, temporary structures, and formwork, safely and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but is not limited to the following :

  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of constructon sites, including removing debris, ensuring the site is safe and organized, and preparing materials and equipment.
  • Perform physical tasks such as digging trenches, excavatng, liting and carrying heavy objects, and operatng basic hand tools.
  • Load and unload constructon materials and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and secured.
  • Help with the installaton and assembly of constructon components, such as scaffolding, temporary structures, and formwork.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, or other constructon materials under the guidance of skilled workers.
  • Assist with the placement and alignment of building materials, including bricks, blocks, steel beams, and pipes.
  • Operate basic constructon machinery and equipment, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, jackhammers, and power tools, as directed by supervisors.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Adhere to constructon plans, blueprints, and instructons provided by supervisors or skilled workers.
  • Report any safety concerns, incidents, or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements :

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Good Communicaton and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately.
  • Basic math skills for measuring, calculating quantiles, and interpreting measurements.
  • Prior experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not always required.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of weather conditions.
