Customer-facing role would work with dispatch groups to solve spontaneous operational issues and address needs for the account while working with scheduling boards, Team Leads, Dispatch Supervisors and Directors of Scheduling to assure account needs are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
- SEI’s first point of contact for any concerns regarding supply, dispatch, or transportation issues from 7a-7p central. 7p-7a the Dispatch Centers would be communicated to directly by 7-11 team.
- Monitor inventory levels for 3000 stores and communicate needs to Dispatch Supervisors and/or scheduling boards to ensure that the roughly 9000 loads/week nationwide will meet delivery requirements.
- Monitor execution of “day deals” and help with recaps provided to customer.
- Remind and monitor dispatch groups regarding special issues (i.e., initial fills, pumpouts) and create orders when necessary to send to KAG Dispatch Boards.
- Publish twice daily inventory reports and as needed in special circumstances.
- Help ensure team calendar is worked on a daily basis.
- Provide daily hand-off to TOC team to ensure continuity in case of emergency.
- Field ETA requests from SEI and research and communicate ETAs back to SEI.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent business experience; degree preferred
- Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred
- Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft and logistics application software
- Intermediate-level knowledge of Excel including vlookups and pivot tables
- Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations, using independent judgment and discretion
- Ability to work well in teams with staff and contractors from all departments
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent personal skills and positive attitude
