Overview:
The Front Desk Manager is critical to the success of developing our hotel team and creating a memorable guest experience. This individual acts as the manager on duty in conjunction with the Director of Rooms. The position requires excellent supervisory skills and proven experience in hospitality management.
Supervision:
Reports to the Director of Rooms
List of Duties:
- Responsible for hotel operations in Director of Rooms absence
- Provides daily operational direction and support to ensure quality service to all guests and staff
- Manages direct reports by ensuring adherence to policy and implementing disciplinary measures
- Assist on all levels of guest relations including conflict management to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
- Responsible for staff understanding of brand standards, philosophy, and specific position processes
- Interviews and hires team members
- Receives and responds to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Complete DSR
- Creates schedule for hotel staff according to standards and forecasted occupancy
- Record and respond to guest feedback via Whistle
- Send welcome emails
- Develops SOP’s and training documents as needed
- Conducts all group sales
- Security Administration
- Monitor gift shop to target ordering and restocking needs as well as computer input of new items
- Facilitates gift shop pricing and restocking
- Conduct bi-annual performance reviews of direct reports
- Assist with any projects or needs reported by the Director of rooms
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
