Job Description
How you will change lives
As a receptionist at our Doctor's office, you will be an integral part of a cross- functional
team, working with healthcare providers to facilitate quality care for patients living with kidney disease.
What you will be doing
The Receptionist is responsible for answering the phones, greeting and welcoming patients , family and visitors, and maintaining records for effective operational management of the dialysis facility.
You are a valuable member to the team and the assistant to the Office Manager who will lean on you to help in multiple capacities.
Assist the Office Manager to ensure the office has good process to ensure all duties are completed and support is provided to all staff.
Performs duties of receptionist including answering / routing phone calls, greeting visitors, distribution of mail and faxes, and monitoring / straightening the waiting room.
- Updates and maintains medical records patients in neat, organized, and professional manner to include periodic purging of outdated information.
- Updates patients' insurance and contact information as needed.
- Assists with completion of patient admission process.
- Enters / uploads data into facility EMR system as appropriate .
- Inventories / orders breakroom, cleaning, and office supplies.
- Reports all incidents, complaints, or problems to Office Manager in a timely manner .
- Complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Other duties, as assigned.

Works with all staff members in a cooperative and efficient manner.
Safety & Quality.
Exercises proper infection control habits per facility policy and procedures.
Complies with facility and industry safety standards.
What we are looking for
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Clear and friendly professional communication
- Customer service experience
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Basic computer literacy and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office required .
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Additional Qualifications / Skills :
- 6 months relative experience in health care and medical terminology preferred.
- Adobe Forms Software preferred.
- Have full range of body motion and flexibility.
- Able to climb, reach, kneel, stoop, and bend daily.
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
- University / college degree is an asset
