Position Title: Custodial Supervisor Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Location: United States Capitol

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of custodial staff.
- Ensure cleanliness of restrooms, lounges, waiting rooms, lobbies, offices, conference rooms, and more.
- Oversee sanitization of high-touch surfaces and adherence to Green Cleaning standards.
- Manage inventory and replenishment of cleaning supplies.
- Train and mentor custodial staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report maintenance or repair needs for prompt resolution.
Qualifications You Need to Succeed:
Experience:
- Required:
- 3-5 years of janitorial or custodial experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing services in facilities of 4,000 square feet or similar complexity.
- Preferred:
- Previous supervisory experience in janitorial or custodial work.
Knowledge:
- Expertise in cleaning and disinfection techniques, including equipment and chemicals.
- Understanding of infection control and Green Cleaning standards.
Skills and Attributes:
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Physical Fitness: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent bending or standing.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Listening Skills: Follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols effectively.
- Flexibility: Availability for evening work to meet operational needs.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in custodial management is a plus).
Additional Requirements:
- Administrative: Valid driver's license.
- Background Checks: Clean criminal record and successful completion of a federal background check.
- Fingerprinting: Completion of fingerprinting as part of the hiring process.
