Activities Leader

The Knolls is seeking 2 dynamic and compassionate Activities Leaders to join our team at our Enriched Housing & Skilled Nursing facility. located in the CCRC. The ideal candidates will plan, implement, and lead a variety of recreational and social activities for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

· Activity Planning and Implementation:

o Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents.

o Organize and lead group activities such as arts and crafts, games, music, and exercise programs.

o Plan and coordinate special events and celebrations.

· Resident Engagement:

o Interact with residents on an individual and group basis, encouraging participation in activities.

o Create a positive and supportive atmosphere that promotes socialization and well-being.

o Observe resident responses to activities and adjust programs as needed.

· Administrative Tasks:

o Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules.

o Assist with ordering supplies and equipment.

o Maintain a clean and organized activity area.

Qualifications:

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

· Experience: Previous experience working with older adults, preferably in a healthcare setting.

· Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a positive and compassionate attitude.

· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry objects, push wheelchairs, and participate in physical activities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 – 30 per week
