SUMMARY :
The Operations Training Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of operations-based employee training encompassing a variety of areas such as equipment, operating processes and procedures, process improvements, and maintenance across multiple Rand-Whitney Container sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- The Operations Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and administration of corrugated, converting, and maintenance training initiatives across all Rand-Whitney Container sites.
- Plan and coordinate training schedules with plant General Managers and Operations team.
- Establish Best Practices and develop new effective production techniques, training on the new techniques and their implementation in production. Maintain and update processes based on technical changes in the process.
- Develop and implement trainings that align with the goals of the Continuous Improvement and Production teams
- Collaborate regularly with plant General Managers to identify areas that would benefit from formalized training or changes to the current training curriculum
- Trains operators on a variety of manufacturing processes at workstations and in the classroom, including, but not limited to processes, equipment operation (setup, operation, cleaning, troubleshooting), documentation handling, material handling, etc.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the operation of converting and corrugating machinery, prioritizing the safety and efficiency of operators and incorporate into training curriculum.
- Develop criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of training activities.
- Report regularly to leadership on opportunities, performance and results to ensure focus and alignment
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to identify areas for preventative maintenance opportunities
- Travel between company sites for meetings and trainings as required.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
