Maintenance Systems Purchasing Coordinator

About the Position

This position is responsible for purchasing and inventory control in the maintenance parts room. Working with vendors, this role will order and track parts to ensure parts are purchased in a cost-effective manner.

Core hours: M-F, 7am - 3:30pm, 30-minute meal period; flexibility to work nights/weekends

Essential Functions

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

• Orders all maintenance parts.
• Accurately track parts inventory.
• Effectively work with vendors.
• Ensure needed parts are available for scheduled PM and Work Orders.
• Manage spare parts room, ensuring accurate inventories are kept and 5S is maintained.
• Ensures the completeness and accuracy of data being entered into the CMMS system.
• Other Plant purchasing duties as needed.
• Lead in the optimization strategies for parts purchasing and inventory controls.

• Eagle, JDE skills a plus
• Microsoft Office

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Education and/or Experience:

• 5 years of maintenance and repair experience
• 2-5 years of maintenance planning preferred
• Experience working with CMMS preferred
• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time, are also included. Ability to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment.
