This position supports the Corporate Quality and Food Safety Manager regarding key corporate quality systems initiatives and programs for ensuring compliance to standards and industry best practices across its manufacturing facilities and co-manufacture partners. Provides support and technical knowledge to internal and external manufacturing facilities to enhance problem-solving and continuous improvement opportunities and maintains communication to cross-functional groups. Collaborating with internal and external partners in the development and implementation of quality standards and conducting onsite visits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
- Coordinate cross-plant alignment activities to ensure compliance and sharing of best practices of the environmental monitoring, integrated pest management and sanitation standards.
- Provide help driving effective solutions and internal cross-plant improvements based on customer and consumer contact data. Including communicating to key parties, working with the facilities on conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Lead the initial quality approval process for new co-manufacturers and support the implementation of new product start-ups or project improvements.
- Responsible for the review and creation of quality documentation for co-manufacture partners to ensure all aspects of food safety and quality requirements meet The Krusteaz Company, third party and regulatory expectations.
- Represent The Krusteaz Company for quality and food safety issues or concerns with co-manufacturing facilities. Provides feedback on customer contact information to co-manufacturers and works with them on investigations and problem solving.
- Partner with R&D and Procurement on the completion of internal reviews and assessments for food fraud risks that may impact The Krusteaz Company; provide training as required.
- Serve as back up to Corporate Quality and Food Safety Manager and lead trace actions of mock recall activities, including trace reporting across internal facilities, Outside Warehouses, and co-manufacturers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal cross functional teams on project support and provide technical support to operations and quality teams on escalated issue resolution.
- Assist in providing support, as needed, for internal, third party and regulatory audits at internal facilities to ensure compliance with standards.

- Strong written, oral and facilitation skills. Ability to maintain communication composure with internal and external customers.
- High integrity and honesty, promoting trust and a strong food safety culture in all actions.

- High energy, assertive, and a self-starter. Works well under pressure situations and tight timelines.
- Willingness to travel as needed (Approximately 15%-20% of the time).
Education and/or Experience:
- BS in Food Science, Biology, or related degree.
- 5 years of food industry experience with plant related experience.
- PCQI/ HACCP/Internal Audit Certified.
- Experience with conducting audits.
- Technical knowledge of food safety, quality systems, sanitation standards, processing, and packaging systems.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and government agencies (FDA, USDA), state and local agency experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone along with reaching. Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work. Moderate noise, ability to work in a confined area, and ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time are also included.

Salary Information: An employee in this position can expect a salary range between $81,581 and $134,600. We typically pay out between $92,000 and $115,000. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including internal equity, experience, education, certification, training, and location. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance.
