Finance Director

Job Summary

The Finance Director is a key leader on the leadership team for the Industrial Division. He or she contributes to all areas of plant management and provides strong financial leadership. The Finance Director is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, inventory/cost accounting and revenue recognition

• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for the sites

• Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions

• Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the plant locations

• Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, division or corporate objectives

• Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team

• Shares best practices across global finance team, e.g. process improvements, financial modeling and procedures changes

• Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions

Minimum Qualifications

• CMA qualification

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• ERP experience required, Oracle experience a plus

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work at all levels

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Advanced capability with MS Office.
