Laboratory Charter School is seeking dynamic, mature Paraprofessionals to fill Full-time positions for its K-5 and 6-8 locations. Our Paraprofessional will provide support to the lead instructor and students in an appropriate manner that improves the overall quality of education in the classroom. The paraprofessionals act as the second staff in classrooms without the associate teacher. Laboratory Charter provides free Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional programs
- including supervision of student activities,
- clerical support, and assisting teachers as required
- Enforce school policies and rules
- Help maintain attendance rolls, assessments, and other records.
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom
- Keep classroom neat and in order
- Observe and assess student’s performance/progress
- Be able to communicate with students and teachers effectively
- Provide individual assistance to students experiencing learning difficulty; explain errors answer questions, assist in research, clarify directions
- Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
- Assist students by providing general guidance.
- Performs any other task the teacher and school leader deemed necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s Degree, or at least 48 college credits, a plus; education-related field preferred
- Experience working in a school experience preferred
