The Lafayette is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to join the team!
The Dining Room Supervisor reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director.
PURPOSE
The Dining Room Supervisor oversees food and beverage service to residents in accordance with established Phoenix policies and procedures. S / he also ensures the safety and satisfaction of residents, while exercising the proper authority with the staff.

Ensure that all table clothes are ironed and clean, and that napkins are neatly foldedEnsure that all cutlery and glasses on tales are cleanVerifies that all carpets are vacuumedChecks that sugar, salt, and pepper containers (etc.) are filled.Assures cleanliness of work areasCustomer Service
Addresses resident concerns or any problems with service immediatelyFacilities and Maintenance
Ensures that all alcohol is locked up as appropriateEnsures that the cash drawer is locked up, as appropriateInspects all refrigerators and walk in freezer for cleanliness and to ensure all items are coveredChecks juice machine and snack bar for cleanlinessEnsures all trash is picked up and disposed of properlyEnsures all kitchen floors are mopped and dishes are stored properlyInspect family dining rooms, pubs, etc. for cleanliness before leaving.Lock appropriate doors at appropriate timesVerifies that all floors are vacuumed in dining rooms and pubsEnsures window shelves are wipedEnsures dining room tables are cleared appropriatelyEnsures curtains are drawn at appropriate timesInspects all dining rooms for cleanliness before service staff leaves shiftsPrepares and serves meals as outlined by Phoenix S&P'sAssists in taking inventory of suppliesResident Care-Food Services
Clears plates, side plates, and breadbaskets before desserts are severedProvide wait staff service to residents when necessary as back up to serversResponsible for ensuring that all food functions are set up and deliveredTours dining room during meal times to evaluate quality of meals / serviceStructure
Supervises the wait staffEnsures wait staff arrive on time for every shiftEnsures wait staff are properly dressed and prepared appropriately for their shiftAccounts for all residents at meals, reporting no-shows to the Wellness Director or Family Experience DirectorEnsure all room service meals are delivered to residents' apartments and picked up after mealsMonitor the dining room during mealtimes to ensure proper servicesEnsures that dining room tables are cleared properlyInterviews, hires, and trains new dining room staffResponsible for scheduling Dining Room StaffRequirements :
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous dining room and server experience.SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to interact effectively with residents and staff
Must be able to follow written and oral instructionsMust have knowledge of dietary procedures, was well as related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations.Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
