JOB SUMMARY : The Graphic Designer will lead the organization's design, development, and implementation of creative design elements across various mediums. The ideal candidate will take full creative and production responsibility from concept to completion on all assigned projects, under the direction of senior leadership. This person is responsible for promoting and protecting the organization's brand across all facets of marketing, internal and external communications, and possesses outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Integral part of the marketing and communications team responsible for generating professional looking graphics and designs across a variety of mediums;
- Responsible for the entire process of defining requirements and visualizing and creating graphics for the organization under the direction of senior leadership;
- Contributes to design, editing, and implementation of department publications including advertising, brochures, flyers, newsletters and magazines, as well as digital media including social media, websites, and digital advertising
- Develops and plans of promotional materials to promote activities and events through a variety of media;
- Maintains digital billboards by managing, creating, and posting content;
- Assists with layout and design of organizational publications, including but not limited to, newsletters, magazines, event programs (e.g. commencement and white coat ceremonies), scholarship auction materials, etc.;
- This position at times requires working extended hours and weekends on an as needed basis;
- Promotes and preserves the mission of LECOM;
- Act as departmental representative with faculty, staff and visitors in a professional, friendly manner at all times;
- Maintain confidentiality (i.e. FERPA, HIPAA ...etc.), professional appearance and pleasant demeanor;
- Contribute directly to the Mission of LECOM embodying the essence of Osteopathic Principles and Practices by assisting with Institutional fundraising and participating in the LECOM Scholarship Auction;
- Participate in scholarly activity so to enrich and broaden the student learning experience;
- Commit to being a representative of LECOM by being actively involved in the community, including, but not limited to, serving on Boards, participating in community fundraisers and overall outreach; and
- Other duties at the direction of the Director and / or his / her designee as required / needed to maintain an efficient and effective Institution.
