High End fine dining restaurant with a Michelin Starred Chef, located in a luxury hotel is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to join our team. Currently on the Michelin guide, we are  seeking to add a core member to our team who can support the pastry and culinary programs on all levels.

 

Candidates shall have experience in NYT 2, 3, or 4 star restaurants and/or Michelin 1,2 or 3 star restaurants, with a positive and long standing track record. This position will tailor well to an individual who is seeking to take the next step from their current position to develop their creative process and oversee a pastry production and service team.

Our program consists of an a la carte restaurant, mezzanine bar as well as multiple private events spaces. The hiring process will consist of an interview, tasting and kitchen trail. Compensation is commensurate with experience and we offer a benefits package. We look forward to hearing from you.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recipe & menu development and cost control
  • Production of composed desserts, breads, cakes, doughs & special projects as needed
  • Forecasting & creating pastry production list
  • Keeping the department organized and an inventory of products on hand
  • Teaching and motivating members of the team
  • 5 years experience
  • Full Time employment management position and schedule
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • NYC food handlers license & an understanding of health/sanitation standards
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of the position

Collaborative attitude and engaging leadership a must.

Salary Range 80-95k depending on experience

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
