PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible for the efficient operation of the Hotel Storerooms. The Storeroom Clerk will receive, store and issue the Storeroom’s inventory ensuring that all requisitions are accurate and complete.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at any time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times, both internal and external.
- Maintain logbook of all incoming guest packages.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of property purchasing system and manual procedures.
- Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms and resource materials, report shortages to supervisor.
- Check refrigeration temperatures in beer cooler and wine cooler. Report any differences to the Supervisor and Engineering departments.
- Verify all goods received in detail against the invoices for food and liquor items.
- Checking in freight deliveries, verify quantity received and condition of pallet/s of items before signing the Bill of Lading from the drivers.
- Assisting with delivery of goods to respective departments.
- Issue stock using requisition forms and processes as necessary.
- Rotate stock to ensure the oldest goods are consumed first.
- Store dry goods, food goods and cleaning supplies in designated areas.
- Assist in inventory as directed by Supervisor.
- Assist with other Purchasing/Receiving job functions as assigned.
- Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager/Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Exert physical effort in transporting 20lbs to 50lbs
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Provide legible communication and directions.
- Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
- Ability to be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly.
- Ability to understand guest’s service needs.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience in the hospitality industry in similar position preferred.

SALARY RANGE:
$21.20 - $26.50/hour
