JOB TITLE: Pool Server
REPORTS TO: Pool Supervisor/ Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
SUPERVISES: NA
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible to serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
· Knowledge of the sequence of service: Explanation of daily specials, wine order, food order, serve appetizer, check with guest periodically to ensure satisfaction.
· You are expected to record orders, present accurate bills, collect proper payment and secure payment until you cash out.
· Knowledge of wine and beverage service.
· Ability to up-sell and increase check averages.
· Remaining and being seen on the floor at all times.
· Abiding by hotel, and sanitation guidelines.
· Knowledge of hotel programs and promotions.
· Efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a keen sense of urgency at all times.
· Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
· Must be self-directed, motivated and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills at all times.
· Assist in directing guest to lounge chairs.
· Refresh towels and clean pool area as needed.
· Perform periodic sweeps of pool and Jacuzzi are to ensure there area no foreign objects and/or insects present.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Must enjoy working with a team in an outdoor environment with extreme temperatures.
· Requires the ability to lift and carry object weighing up to 30 pounds.
· Standing for 90 % of work shift is required.
· Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting, carrying, seeing, hearing, talking, walking.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Ability to access and input information into Micros system.
· Ability to think fast, react fast, and resolves issues
· Empowerment to take problems into own hands and resolve them.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
· Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· 1-2 years experience as a server preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:
· Food Handler’s Certificate required.
· Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
· CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
