What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Spanish Teacher/Part Time position at The Language Project?
The Language Project is hiring Spanish-speaking substitute teachers!
Join us part-time and make a difference in the lives of young learners in grades K–8 at private schools in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
We provide comprehensive training, lesson plans, and materials—you bring the passion for teaching and working with students!
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking motivated individuals who love working with young people and possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish
- Conversational English or higher
- Availability Monday–Friday between 8:00 am–3:00 pm on select days (based on your availability and substitute needs)
- Enjoy working with elementary and middle school students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
- Eligible to work in the U.S.A.
- Experience teaching young people (paid or volunteer) is a plus
What You’ll Do:
As a substitute teacher with The Language Project, you will:
- Lead fun, high-energy Spanish immersion classes using songs, stories, and games
- Follow lesson plans and utilize materials provided by The Language Project
- Attend professional training and workshops
- Make a meaningful impact on students’ language learning journey
