Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the mall, ensuring that all services are performed efficiently and effectively. This role is pivotal in maintaining the physical space, managing staff, and coordinating with tenants to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the mall, including common areas, landscaping, and parking lots, ensuring a clean and safe environment for shoppers and employees.
- Security Oversight: Coordinate with security personnel to implement safety protocols throughout the mall, responding to emergencies and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, including cleaning, maintenance, and security services. Ensure services are completed in line with contractual obligations.
- Tenant Coordination: Assist with tenant needs, including move-ins and move-outs, and resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the mall’s operational budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Compliance: Ensure all mall operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement environmentally sustainable practices across mall operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support onsite staff, including maintenance, custodial, and groundskeeping teams, to promote a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, and/or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in operations management, preferably in a retail or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
